The former AlterEgo restaurant, ideally located on the Jacques Cœur basin at Port Marianne, has been transformed to become L’Atelier du Petit Jardin, a culinary adventure orchestrated by the talented chef Clément Gueudré. After acquiring the Le Petit Jardin restaurant in the heart of Montpellier in 2022, Clément Gueudré embarked on this ambitious new challenge a year later, to convey his vision in a new configuration.
This audacious project enables Clément Gueudré to further develop the saga of the Le Petit Jardin restaurant in a new direction. Both establishments are now grouped together as ‘Groupe Petit Jardin Montpellier’. The chef and founder of the group expresses his gratitude to his team, underlining:

L’Atelier du Petit Jardin was inaugurated on Friday 5 October 2023, marking the start of a unique culinary experience The spirit is based on sharing and conviviality, perpetuating the gastronomic tradition of the Petit Jardin group. L’Atelier du Petit Jardin has made its mark by offering refined, gourmet cuisine to delight every taste bud.
Clément Gueudré wanted to create an elegant, relaxed setting, where a passionate team works with dedication. For this new adventure, he called upon Chef Alexis Pierre, formerly second in command at Le Petit Jardin, entrusting him with the role of Head Chef.
The restaurant’s menu promises an exquisite culinary journey, awakening the senses with innovative cuisine featuring seasonal, fresh and local produce. The chef offers cuisine from the land and the sea, designed to be enjoyed individually or as shared dishes. For the more adventurous, L’Atelier also offers its signature creations, prestigious dishes such as whole sole meunière or 650g veal Tomahawk. Chef Alexis Pierre emphasises:
